Carrie Pokrefke is the founder of Pokrefke Auditing and Consulting, LLC, with nearly 25 years of experience in financial services, risk management, and auditing. She has dedicated her career to helping organizations strengthen compliance programs, mitigate risk, and operate with greater integrity and efficiency.

Carrie is a Certified Internal Auditor who began her career as a bank examiner with the Mississippi Department of Banking, later examining credit unions and money transmitters. She also served as a Supervision Analyst and Deputy Director at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), bringing a broad federal perspective to oversight and regulatory strategy.

Her work is grounded in the belief that fairness, accountability, and innovative problem-solving are the cornerstones of sustainable success. She launched Pokrefke Auditing and Consulting to provide tailored, high-impact solutions that meet the real-world challenges organizations face today.

From auditing and risk management to compliance consulting and training, Carrie is passionate about delivering value and empowering her clients to thrive.

Outside of work, she enjoys woodworking, drumming, gardening, reading, traveling, and staying active. She finds joy in life’s simple yet meaningful moments and brings that same grounded energy into her professional relationships.
